The good news is that I've found a cheaper place to live that's actually pretty nice! The bad news is it's a 6th floor walk-up. But really, nothing is perfect, and Harlem has become a pretty good area, especially compared to some shady areas I checked out in Brooklyn. I'm excited for the move! Seems I have a couple affordable moving options (yay friends with Zip Car!!!) because U-Haul charges for all these hidden fees... gotta be careful. If it wasn't for the mattress set, I could in theory move everything via subway. Yeah it would take awhile (like the ENTIRE weekend), but would be pretty much free because I pay for the subway card anyway. Of course if I were rich none of this would be a problem, as I could just pay movers. But then again, I wouldn't be moving to a cheaper place at all in that case.
